Wolverines Take on the CGHL

Nashville, TN (September, 2024) – In an exciting development for female hockey players, the Tennessee Wolverines are proud to announce its entry into the newly formed Central Girls Hockey League (CGHL), for its upcoming inaugural season. This move marks a new chapter in the team’s history and reflects its commitment to growing the game of hockey and excitement for girls’ youth hockey in Middle-Tennessee and across the southeast.

The CGHL, was created for Tier II non-national tournament bound girls travel teams and represents the pinnacle of travel hockey for girls. By joining the CGHL, the Tennessee Wolverines aim to build on their continuous growth and bring a fresh wave of energy to the league.

Enhanced Competition: The Tennessee Wolverines will go up against powerful teams within the Central Girls Hockey League. Facing off against the Chesterfield Lady Falcons, Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones, Louisville Lady Cardinals, and Indianapolis Jr Fuel, all will join the Wolverines in the league’s inaugural season.

New Beginnings: The move to CGHL signifies a strategic step towards the Tennessee Wolverines dedication to pushing its limits and striving for growth. Facing  the Chesterfield Lady Falcons, Cincinnati Jr Cyclones, Indy Jr Fuel and Louisville Lady Cardinals will be no easy task. Teams across three age divisions, will meet for five league weekends over the course of the year. Concluding with a Championship Weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio in February 2025.
